The water at ArteVida is something special. Nearby in Carboneras is the second-largest desalination plant in Spain. Seawater is piped in, the salt is removed through a relatively simple process and the water is filtered. It then flows via a beautiful pipeline to the surrounding villages - Mojácar, Vera, Garrucha - all of which enjoy the same clean water.

The water is almost lime-free, of excellent quality and safe to drink. There is no chlorine smell; everything is done with tap water. Yolanda and Johan love that their guests can enjoy such pure and fresh water, a luxury not always taken for granted.
