Naturism is a lifestyle that exists for over a hundred years. It started in the early 20th century, especially in Europe, as a movement that advocated living in harmony with nature and embracing the body without clothing. The goal was to be healthy and free, both physically and mentally, through nudity in nature.
Today, the term naturism is still used, but for many people, it sounds formal and sometimes a bit distant. That’s why we prefer to use the term nude recreation. This term emphasizes relaxation and enjoyment without clothes, without necessarily involving an entire lifestyle or philosophy.
Nude recreation simply means choosing to enjoy your free time without clothing, on a naturist campsite, a nude beach, or in nature. It's mostly about freedom, comfort, and respect, for yourself, for others, and for the environment.
Clothing is mainly practical: to stay warm or feel comfortable. Weather permitting, it feels completely natural to take off your clothes and enjoy being nude. It’s a simple choice that gives many people a sense of freedom.
Nude recreationists are ordinary people, just like you and me. They choose to be themselves, without layers of fabric or fuss. Why hide your body, when in the end, we are all the same? It’s about acceptance, of yourself and of others, regardless of age, size, or appearance.
At the heart of nude recreation is respect: for yourself, for others, and for nature. It’s a judgment-free space where you can simply be yourself.
